For this Christmas, we had decided to make food gifts to give to our friends and family. My dear hubby suggested not only to give the food gifts for Christmas but sell them as well. We thought about it and debated and...
To make a long story short... we decided to offer a select few of our
kitchen projects for sale this Christmas.
Our initial offerings for
this Christmas are the Banana Cake and the Date Walnut Cake (with a
variant of Double Date Cake).
Our banana cake (super delicious, soft and moist, and studded with chocolate chips):
Date Walnut Cake (low fat, no cholesterol!!!)
Double Date Cake (even lower in fat!!! still no cholesterol!!!!)
Our Christmas packaging:
(featuring my favorite colors mint green and purple)
Banana Cake in complete Christmas packaging:
Also available are Spiced Cocoa Mix, Truffles, and Cookie Cakes in 3 variants.
We'll be posting our price list soon!

The Reason
B has a sweet tooth. There is no use denying it.
We haven't had much success in controlling her intake of sweets so we switched tactics... we thought if we couldn't "beat" her sweet tooth, then we might as well join her... so to speak.
In a nutshell, we decided to come up with "sweets" for her to enjoy. "Sweets" that are healthier... lower in fat, with no preservatives added, with sugar reduced... as much as possible without sacrificing taste and/or texture.
While at first it was just me baking (and cooking) for us and our friends, but friends kept asking if I would be interested in accepting orders for the stuff I baked or cooked. Someone even said it was a shame if I would not "share" my goodies.
Hence, the birth of MaBelle Mint and Purple.
